The start of this event was delayed by 1 min 15 sec to hold for Moruya gallops.
A pre race sample was taken from Startron.
Painted Elvry, Startron and My Lilly collided soon after the start checking Startron. Painted Elvry and My Lilly collided approaching the first turn checking My Lilly. My Lilly and Adherent collided on the first turn checking My Lilly. Painted Elvery and Startron collided approaching the home turn checking Painted Elvry. My Lilly eased on the home turn and lost ground. Champagne Luxe and Pants On Fire collided entering the home straight.
My Lilly was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hiscock, the trainer of the greyhound My Lilly regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged My Lilly with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hiscock pleaded guilty to the charge, My Lilly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
