Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Adam Mandam.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Lure Driver, Mr Chris Chilcott did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Adam Mandam was slow to begin. King Of Merrimu and Over And Away collided soon after the start. Tzar Norma and Pure Vengeance collided soon after the start. King Of Merrimu checked off Over And Away approaching the first turn. Pure Vengeance and Molly Chapta collided on the first turn. King Of Merrimu and Pure Vengeance collided on the first turn, checking King Of Merrimu, Pure Vengeance and Molly Chapta. King Of Merrimu and Molly Chapta collided on the second turn, checking Molly Chapta. Tzar Norma faltered and lost ground in the back straight, and subsequently tailed off. Adam Mandam eased approaching the winning post.
Tzar Norma was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Adam Mandam was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg deltoid muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Crawford, the handler of the greyhound Adam Mandam, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Adam Mandam with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Crawford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Adam Mandam was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
