A pre-race sample was taken from Pants On Fire.
Champagne Luxe was quick to begin. Mallee Spring was slow to begin. Pa's Girl and Yenderra Blue collided approaching the first turn checking Yenderra Blue. Rido's Ace and Searching collided on the first turn checking Searching. Mallee Spring and Searching collided approaching the home turn checking Searching. Pants On Fire and Rido's Ace collided entering the home straight checking Rido's Ace.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Champagne Luxe due to the handler failing to appear at the kennels by the appointed time. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Vigor, the representative of Champagne Luxe regarding her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Ms. Vigor with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that she failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Chamapage Luxe. Ms. Vigor was found guilty and fined $100.
