Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Raloo Barbara.
Lottie Biscotti and Bold Reflection collided soon after the start and several times from the 300mtr mark to the 200mtr mark checking Bold Reflection. Lottie Biscotti, Bold Reflection and Cosmic Breeze collided at the 200mtr mark. Raloo Barbara and Unexplainable collided at the 150mtr mark. Shawnee Jaguar and Lady Mikado collided at the 50mtr mark. Shawnee Jaguar marred Mr. Swan approaching the winning post.
Shawnee Jaguar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Forbes, the trainer of the greyhound Shawnee Jaguar regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Shawnee Jaguar with marring. Shawnee Jaguar pleaded guilty to the charge, Shawnee Jaguar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
