Superior Primo and Superior Sam collided soon after the start checking Superior Sam.  Pink Tiara and Dyna Quota collided soon afeter the start and again at the 150mtr mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Superior Chase - 2nd placegetter.

Billy Swagger, Superior Briz and Tomal were slow to begin.

Wendy Maria and Superior Beam collided soon after the start.  Wendy Maria checked off Superior Beam at the 300mtr mark.  Tomal and Master Winslow collided at the 300mtr mark.  Master Winslow and Tomal collided at the 250mtr mark.  Jack Skywalker and Master Winslow collided approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Raloo Barbara.

Lottie Biscotti and Bold Reflection collided soon after the start and several times from the 300mtr mark to the 200mtr mark checking Bold Reflection.  Lottie Biscotti, Bold Reflection and Cosmic Breeze collided at the 200mtr mark. Raloo Barbara and Unexplainable collided at the 150mtr mark.  Shawnee Jaguar and Lady Mikado collided at the 50mtr mark.  Shawnee Jaguar marred Mr. Swan approaching the winning post.

Shawnee Jaguar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Forbes, the trainer of the greyhound Shawnee Jaguar regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Shawnee Jaguar with marring. Shawnee Jaguar pleaded guilty to the charge, Shawnee Jaguar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Kantzidis, the trainer of Injector regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Injector last raced on 18 May 2018 and is returning from a spell. 

Urana Vee Eight and Injector were slow to begin. 

Gunai Nitro and Injector collided soon after the start.  Urana Vee Eight crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Injector; Urana Vee Eight raced wide for the remainder of the event.  Amlin Freddie and Early Special collided several times from the 250mtr mark to the 150mtr mark.  Alfie's Affair and Early Special collided at the 250mtr mark.  Gunai Nitro checked off Amlin Freddie approaching the 50mtr mark.  Gunai Nitro and Urana Vee Eight collided approaching the winning post.

Pre-race samples were taken from Fancy Hope and Midnight Storm upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre-race sample was taken from Becket.

Dr. Murphy jumped ackwardely at box rise and was slow to begin.

Forgotten Girl and Midnight Storm collided soon after the start.  Keep Talking crossed in soon after the start checking Becket.  Forgotten Storm and Midnight Storm collided from the 250mtr mark to the 150mtr mark.  Fancy Hope and Becket collided from the 200mtr mark to the 150mtr mark checking Becket.  Johnny's Return checked off Becket approaching the winning post.  Midnight Storm checked off Forgotten Girl approaching the winning post.  

Marlow's Express was a late scratching at 10.21am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr F. Vassallo, the trainer of Lucky Millie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lucky Millie last raced on 17 July 2018 and is returning from a right toe injury. Mr Vassallo also declared a new weight of 28.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lucky Millie last raced at 27.4kgs.

Prince Mikado was slow to begin.

Prince Mikado checked off Lucky Millie at the 300mtr mark.  Jet Blaster and Like A Fancy collided approaching the 200mtr mark.  Lucky Millie and Like A Fancy collided approaching the 150mtr mark checking both greyhounds.

Trainer Mr J. Barber requested that Jet Blaster be vetted following the event.  It was reported that the gryhound sustained a laceration to the right fore hind, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Love Laughing was a late scratching at 9.01am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Yanma.

Weeona Dino was slow to begin.

Enzo and Galloping Flash collided soon after the start and again at the 300mtr mark checking Galloping Flash.

Galloping Flash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left toe injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.   Stewards spoke to Trainer, Robert Conway, regarding the performance of Galloping Flash .  Mr Conway stated that the greyhound had trialled well recently and felt the greyhound would be competitive in today's run.  Stewards took into consideration the injury sustained to the greyhound and after noting the explanation of Mr. Conway, took no further action.

Burnout and Kouta Gold were slow to begin.

Alberto and Why Not Bazzar collided at the 300mtr mark.  Marcello and Kouta Gold collided at the 200mtr mark and again at the 50mtr mark.

Magic Moon Dust was quick to begin.

Xan Mai and Tarree's Ruslie collided at the 250mtr mark checking Tarree's Ruslie.  Groomer McGrath and Miss Legality collided at the 200mtr mark.  Xan Mai and Weasley Grange collided at the 150mtr mark.  Magic Moon Dust, Xan Mai, Tarree's Ruslie and Weasley Grange collided at the 100mtr mark checking Magic Moon Dust, Xan Mai and Weasley Grange.  Magic Moon Dust checked off Xan Mai approaching the winning post.  Groomer McGrath and Miss Legality collided approaching the winning post.

Big Sam Marjen was slow to begin.

Dyna Winter, Knocka Feller, Sole Elusion, Superior Scotch and Dr. Shreds collided soon after the start checking Big Sam Marjen and severely checking Sole Elusion which became unbalanced and contacted the running rail.

Dyna Winter crossed out at the 200mtr mark and collided with Why Not Ginger.  Big Sam Marjen and Knocka Feller collided at the 200mtr mark.

Sole Elusion was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left fore, no stand down period was imposed.

Dargo Dasher and Doran's Grove were slow to begin.

Scrumble and Koitsenko collided soon after the start.  Doran's Grove crossed out soon after the start checking Scrumble and Koitsenko; Doran's Grove continued to race wide for the remaindered of the event.  Dargo Dasher and Crackerjack Mick collided several times approaching the 200mtr mark checking Crackerjack Mick.  Scrumble and Koitsenko collided approaching the 150mtr mark.  Crackerjack Mick, Sub Zero Magic and Galloping Rokyto collided approaching the 100mtr mark checking Galloping Rokyto.  Sub Zero Magic checked off Crackerjack mick approaching the winning post severely checking Crackerjack Mick.  Dargo Dasher and Galloping Rokyto collided approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Mallard - winner of the event.

Stewards were advised that there was no catcher for Galloping Flash, Stewards questioned Trainer Mr R. Conway and after taking evidence will open an inquiry and question Mr Jye Formosa into the matter at date and time to be fixed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Wet And Wild upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre-race sample was taken from Clarence Clocka.

Renegade was slow to begin.

Our Aqua Blue and Wet And Wild collided approaching the 250mtr mark.  Our Aqua Blue checked off Clarence Clocka at the 100mtr mark.  Renegade and Early King collided at the 100mtr mark.  Wet And Wild checked off Rose Of Dyanna approaching the winning post.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr T. Salin, the trainer of Hay Janet regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hay Janet last raced on 13 August 2017 and is returning from a left wrist injury and seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hay Janet trialled over the 350mtrs from box 1 weight 26.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 19.38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 3/4 lengths].  Hay Janet was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr T. Salin, the trainer of Haiyan regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Haiyan last raced on 26 February 2017 and is returning from a spell for a right dropped back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Haiyan trialled over the 350mtrs from box 8, weight 35.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 19.38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 lengths. Haiyan was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) and weight trial - Stewards spoke to Mr J. Hardy, the trainer of Tiny Wally regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Tiny Wally raced on 20 March 2018 and is returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Tiny Wally trialled over the 350mtrs from box 3, weight 37.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 19.38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18 lengths and tailed off. Tiny Wally was Not Cleared.
