Kraken Witch was quick to begin.  Absolute Dream was slow to begin.  Starbright Toby crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Crymelon Victory, Vienna Charm and Kraken Roger.  Kraken Roger checked off Starbright Toby on the first turn.  Vienna Charm and Crymelon Victory collided in the home straight.

Stagger Loot and Sukhoi Su were slow to begin.  Dyna Jules, Platelayer and Invictus Clive collided soon after the start.  Steorra and Invictus Clive collided approaching the first turn.  Platelayer and Crymelon Phantom collided approaching the first turn, checking Crymelon Phantom.  Dyna Jules and Invictus Clive collided approaching the home turn.  Platelayer raced wide on the home turn.  Sukhoi Su checked off Stagger Loot in the home straight.

Dee Nine and Pick Up Line were quick to begin.  Onions O'Reilly was slow to begin.  Mr Frost, Call Me Bubbles and Digger's Cove collided soon after the start.  Call Me Bubbles and Digger's Cove collided approaching the first turn.  Mr Frost galloped on the heels of Digger's Cove on the first turn, checking both greyhounds; Mr Frost raced wide as a result.  Mr Frost and Digger's Cove collided in the home straight.  Mr Frost failed to pursue the lure with due committment in the home straight.  Mr Frost and Digger's Cove collided approaching the winning post. It was reported the muzzle of Mr Frost was partially dislodged on arrival at the catching pen.

Stewards spoke to Ms Melissa Fullerton, the handler of the greyhound, Mr Frost regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Mr Frost was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Mr Frost with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Fullerton pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr Frost was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Billy Bart, Charlie Rocket and Ocean Bay collided soon after the start, checking Charlie Rocket and Ocean Bay.  Full Of Boloney and Charlie Rocket collided approaching the first turn.  Quotation Mark, Billy Bart and Rockin' Rico collided on the first turn, checking Billy Bart and Charlie Rocket.  Billy Bart and Ocean Bay collided approaching the home turn, checking Billy Bart.  Full Of Boloney and Ocean Bay collided on the home turn, checking Full Of Boloney.  Chum's Special raced wide throughout the event.

Troy Boyce, Ferno The Nando and Allen Punter were slow to begin.  Fast Trapper and Why Not Kez collided soon after the start, checking Fast Trapper.  Kalani Willow, Dragonstone and Dashing Diamond collided approaching the first turn, checking Dragonstone.  Dragonstone and Ferno The Nando collided on the first turn, severely checking Dragonstone. Stewards spoke to Mr Garry George, the trainer of Hugo Linx, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hugo Linx last raced on 13 April 2018.  Mr George  stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.

Road To Nhill and Broulee Miss were slow to begin.  Cee Hannah Rose, Eaglehawk Miss and Saint Ray collided approaching the first turn, checking Saint Ray.  Cee Hannah Rose, Saint Ray, Road To Nhill and Swiftly Swift collided on the first turn, checking Road To Nhill and Swiftly Swift.  Broulee Miss cramped over the concluding stages of the event.

Road To Nhill was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg monkey muscle, left and right hindleg pencil/whip injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Broulee Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping and a spike wound to the right hind foot.  Stewards spoke to Mr Gavin Gledhill, the trainer of the greyhound Broulee Miss.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Melissa Fullerton, the trainer of Over The Radar, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Over The Radar last raced on 9 December 2017.  Ms Fullerton stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left hamstring injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Over The Radar trialled over the 410m  from box one, weight 32.4 kgs (amended 18/09), the greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters.. The time of the trial was 24:03, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths.Over The Radar was Cleared.
