Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dapper Diesel.
Dapper Diesel was slow to begin.
Cartwheel Chole and Our Aqua Blue collided approaching the 300m mark. Cartwheel Chloe, Our Aqua Blue and Cersei collided at the 300m mark checking Our Aqua Blue and Cersei. Cersei faltered at the 200m mark and was subsequently tailed off. Chum's Special, Cartwheel Chloe and Dapper Diesel collided at the 50m mark.
Stewards held the All Clear to view the video replay of the finish of this event and the distance between the Lure to the leading greyhound. After viewing both the patrol and head on footage stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was affected and the All Clear was given on the placings 3-2-1-8. Stewards spoke to Lure Driver Mr S. Courts in relation the matter.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Thorneycroft, trainer of Dapper Diesel regarding the manner in which the greyhound raced approaching the finishing line. After viewing the official video footage stewards took no further action in the matter.
Cersei was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
