Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr T. Whitford, the representative of Dewana Interest regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dewana Interest last raced on 21st July 2018. T. Whitford stated that the greyhound is resuming racing from a spell. T. Whitford declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dewana Interest last raced at 30.0kg.
Stewards spoke to Ms M. Lithgow, the trainer of Bowon Approach regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bowon Approach last raced on 23rd August 2018. M. Lithgow stated that greyhound is resuming racing after a right triangle injury.
Bowon Approach was slow to begin.
Rose Of Dyanna and My Names Schultz collided soon after the start. Dewana Interest and Bowon Approach collided at the 250m mark checking Bowon Approach. Dewana Interest and Bowon Approach collided approaching the 150m mark checking Bowon Approach.
Bowon Approach was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
