The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Gomez Sanchez and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.32pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. J. Palma was fined the sum of $100.

Zipping Galon was slow to begin.

Last Outlaw faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Mepunga Laser and Sustain The Rage collided soon after the start. Calendar Boy, Why Not Peter and Sustain The Rage collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Galon raced wide in the home straight.

Last Outlaw was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
