Dashing Dyson and Tom Riddle collided soon after the start, checking Dashing Dyson. Hungry An' Hollo and Dazzling Melody collided soon after the start. Mepunga Pride and Dazzling Melody collided approaching the first turn. Counting Pennies and Mepunga Pride collided approaching the home turn, checking Counting Pennies, causing Counting Pennies and Dazzling Melody to collide, checking both greyhounds, Dazzling Melody lost ground as a result. Dashing Dyson checked off Mercedes Red entering the home straight.
Counting Pennies was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated toe, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
