A pre-race sample was taken from Crash Cobra.
Pat Malone was quick to begin.
Cee Jay Ace, Head Banger, Flying Smart and Star Hunter collided soon after the start, checking Flying Smart. Twenty Tamar and Crash Cobra collided approaching the home turn, checking Crash Cobra and Flying Smart. Pat Malone checked off Crash Cobra in the home straight. Twenty Tamar and Flying Smart raced wide in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Zipping Clare - the winner of the event.
The "All Clear" was delayed after a patron entered the restriction zone of the track near the winning post. Stewards were satisfied that this had no effect on the outcome of the event and the "All Clear" was given
Stewards requested that the Club Manager speak with the patrons involved.
