Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Rail Remover upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Digger's Cove was slow to begin. Rail Remover and Dyna Frankie collided soon after the start, checking Rail Remover. Rail Remover and Digger's Cove collided on the first turn, checking Rail Remover. Dyna Frankie galloped on the heels of Dyna Khloe approaching the home turn, checking Dyna Khloe. Hot Spuds, Digger's Cover and Dyna Frankie collided on the home turn, checking Digger's Cove. Rail Remover marred Hot Spuds in the home straight. Dyna Khloe and Digger's Cove collided approaching the winning post.
Dyna Khloe was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Rail Remover was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg toe injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Bruce Jacobs, the trainer of the greyhound Rail Remover regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Rail Remover with marring. Mr Jacobs pleaded guilty to the charge, Rail Remover was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Shane Fisher, the trainer of the greyhound Hot Spuds, regarding the greyhound's handler, Mr Ian Fisher's difficulty in boxing the greyhound. Mr Shane Fisher stated he would ensure that Mr Ian Fisher gained more practice in boxing greyhounds before handling on raceday.
