Lilty Allen, Black Lazarus and Lektra Guiseppe were slow to begin. Rory Kade, Eaglehawk Miss and Ark Lightning collided approaching the first turn, checking Ark Lightning. Eaglehawk Miss checked off Rory Kade approaching the home turn, checking Ark Lightning and Black Lazarus. Eaglehawk Miss checked off Lektra Guiseppe approaching the home turn, checking Black Lazarus. Eaglehawk Miss and Black Lazarus raced wide on the home turn. Mr Frost and Rory Kade collided in the home straight.
Black Lazarus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg monkey muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
