Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Allan the trainer of Cranberry Miss regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cranberry Miss last raced on 15/07/18. Mr. Allan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Egoline.
Volcanic Winter, Cumberland Jet and Rapid Road were slow to begin. Fabkobi and Egoline collided soon after the start. Jennifer Eccles and Cranberry Miss collided on the first turn. Volcanic Winter, Water Pistol, Rapid Road and Fabkobi collided on the first turn checking Water Pistol and Rapid Road. Cranberry Miss and Fabkobi collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Cumberland Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right calf, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
