True Gem was quick to begin.  Sky Wesley and Egoline Zeb collided soon after the start.  Perfect Zuma and Dr. Pixie collided soon after the start.  Applied, Perfect Zuma, Dr. Pixie and Zipping Todd collided on the first turn.  Zipping Todd raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Allan the trainer of Cranberry Miss regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cranberry Miss last raced on 15/07/18.  Mr. Allan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.

Volcanic Winter, Cumberland Jet and Rapid Road were slow to begin.  Fabkobi and Egoline collided soon after the start.  Jennifer Eccles and Cranberry Miss collided on the first turn.  Volcanic Winter, Water Pistol, Rapid Road and Fabkobi collided on the first turn checking Water Pistol and Rapid Road.  Cranberry Miss and Fabkobi collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Cumberland Jet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right calf, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

I'm Orion and Mallee Spring were slow to begin.  I'm Orion was checked off Cloverlay approaching the first turn.  No Passengers galloped on Jakesta on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds checking Mallee Spring and Blunderbuss.  Mallee Spring was checked off I'm Orion on the home turn.  Blunderbuss was checked off Cloverlay in the home straight.

Black Shirley was slow to begin.  Galloping Wytee crossed in soon after the start checking Dr. Cadenza.  Aston Halle and Harper's Hand collided on the first turn checking Aston Halle.  Dr. Summer was checked off Galloping Wytee on the first turn severely checking Dr. Summer.  Harper's Hand was checked off Galloping Wytee approaching the home turn.  Aston Halle and Dr. Summer collided entering the home straight.  Snip Snap, Dr. Summer and Aston Halle raced wide in the home straight and collided.
