Stewards spoke to Mr N.Jenner, the trainer of Sharp Spur regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sharp Spur last raced on 20th June 2018. Mr N. Jenner stated that the greyhound was resuming from a right back muscle injury.  Mr N. Jenner, trainer of Sharp Spur declared a new weight of 33.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Sharp Spur last raced at 32.6kg.

Dingle Bay and Tee Tee collided soon after the start. Wicked Reason checked off Sweet Gabriella soon after the start. Tee Tee and Sweet Gabriella collided soon after the start. Crowdza Jumpin', Dingle Bay and Chopping Spuds collided on the first turn checking Chopping Spuds and Double Attitude.  Sharp Spur, Tee Tee and Sweet Gabriella collided on the first turn.  Wicked Reason checked off Sweet Gabriella approaching the first turn.  Sharp Spur, Tee Tee and Wicked Reason collided on the second turn.  Sweet Gabriella and Chopping Spuds collided in the back straight checking Chopping Spuds.  Tee Tee checked off Chopping Spuds on the third turn.  Chopping Spuds and Sharp Spur collided on the third turn checking Chopping Spuds.  Chopping Spuds checked off Tee Tee on the home turn.

Chopping Spuds was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions on the right  hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Out Break checked off Extreme Summer on the first turn and collided with Shanlyn Shiraz. Shady Max raced wide on the first turn checking Fernando Rocks and Federal Elle.  Out Break and Shanlyn Shiraz collided approaching the second turn.  Aston Ranza checked off Cee Me Shine on the third turn.

Glorious and Weeona Bulldozer were slow to begin.

Glorious checked off Flash Fernando soon after the start.  Maximum Kobi checked off Charging Yaala approaching the first turn.  Glorious and Flash Fernando collided on the first turn.  Isn't She Sassy checked off Charging Yaala approaching the second turn.  Track Of Time galloped on Maximum Kobi on the second turn checking Weeona Bulldozer and Track Of Time and causing Maximum Kobi and Flash Fernando to fall.  Isn't She Sassy and Start A Riot collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Start A Riot and Weeona Bulldozer collided approaching the home turn checking Start A Riot.  Track Of Time checked off Start A Riot on the home turn and collided with Isn't She Sassy.  

Maximum Kobi was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions on the right fore paw.  No stand down period was imposed.

Flash Fernando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions on the right fore dew claw.  No stand down period was imposed.

Circle Of Dreams shifted out soon after the start checking Ingenious Lad.  Bold and Mrs. Flintstone collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Freakish Talent checked off Flowing on the third turn and fell as a result.  Antares Star and Bold collided on the third turn.  Antares Star and Flowing collided in the home straight.  Flowing and Bold collided in the home straight.

Dyna Xerox was slow to begin.  

Huxley and Sisco Bella collided soon after the start.  Weeona Raph and Huxley collided approaching the first turn.  Weeona Bont and Militant Spirit collided on the first turn.  Militant Spirit raced wide on the second turn.  Weeona Raph and Militant Spirit collided approaching the home turn.  Huxley and Destini Ferrari collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  

Galactic Cat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr S.Elsum  stated that in his opinion although Galactic Cat was up in class, the greyhound raced wider than normal and may not have appreciated the hooped lure on this track.

Mepunga Debbie, Vrontios and Cee Me Entertain were slow to begin.

Cee Me Entertain and Mahoney Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Lady Spur checked off Sisco Ride on the first turn checking Mepunga Debbie and Vrontios.  Mahoney Miss and Lady Spur collided on the fourth turn.  Nicky Neo and Vrontios collided approaching the home turn checking Nicky Neo.

Wears Woodleigh was examined by the club veterinary surgeon prior to racing and was cleared to start.

Shakey Coconut and Wears Woodleigh were slow to begin.

Holyfield and Shakey Coconut collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn.  Holyfield, Shakey Coconut and Wears Woodleigh collided on the first turn checking all greyhounds.

Holyfield was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle and right sesamoid injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Chill Out Webby, Heza Real Deal and Red Hot Attitude collided soon after the start checking all three  greyhounds.  Seaside Shuffle and Shorty George collided soon after the start.  Dewana Be Sure, Red Hot Attitude, Mighty Josiah and Cloud Cover collided approaching the first turn checking Mighty Josiah.  Dewana Be Sure checked off Seaside Shuffle on the first turn checking Red Hot Attitude and Shorty George and causing Cloud Cover to fall.  Heza Real Deal and Mighty Josiah collided on the first turn.  

Cloud Cover was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Come On Charlize was a late scratching at 8:02 due to an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Off The Bit and Air Commander collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Off The Bit checked off Dex's Affair on the home turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Sisco Dun - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs K White, the trainer of Expense Eve regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Expense Eve last raced on 15th August 2018. Mrs K. White stated that the greyhound was resuming from a right front toe injury.

Ms M. Toner, the representative of All Jokes Aside declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  All Jokes Aside last raced at 29.7kg.

Fend Off was slow to begin.

Minter Bee Cash, All Jokes Aside, Miyagi Magic and Never Duplicated collided soon after the start checking Minter Bee Cash, All Jokes Aside and Miyagi Magic.  Expense Eve, Go Ekay, Miyagi Magic and Fend Off collided on the first turn checking Go Ekay, Miyagi Magic and Fend Off.  Minter Bee Cash checked off All Jokes Aside on the first turn.  Go Ekay and Fend Off collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Go Ekay checked off Fend Off on the third turn.  Go Ekay and Fend Off collided on the home turn.  

Fend Off, which performed below market expectations was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.   Trainer, Mr R. Cunningham stated that he had changed the greyhound's diet since its last start on 13/11/18, as a result the greyhound was 0.9kg up in weight.  He also stated it was the greyhound's first start on this track and it may not have been suited by the two turn track.  A swab sample was ordered to be taken from the greyhound.

Go Ekay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A post-race sample was taken from Tezzalenko - the winner of the event.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Celestial Jewel trialled over the 515m from box 1, weight 30.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 30.00, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25 lengths. Celestial Jewel was Cleared.
