Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr N.Jenner, the trainer of Sharp Spur regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sharp Spur last raced on 20th June 2018. Mr N. Jenner stated that the greyhound was resuming from a right back muscle injury. Mr N. Jenner, trainer of Sharp Spur declared a new weight of 33.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sharp Spur last raced at 32.6kg.
Dingle Bay and Tee Tee collided soon after the start. Wicked Reason checked off Sweet Gabriella soon after the start. Tee Tee and Sweet Gabriella collided soon after the start. Crowdza Jumpin', Dingle Bay and Chopping Spuds collided on the first turn checking Chopping Spuds and Double Attitude. Sharp Spur, Tee Tee and Sweet Gabriella collided on the first turn. Wicked Reason checked off Sweet Gabriella approaching the first turn. Sharp Spur, Tee Tee and Wicked Reason collided on the second turn. Sweet Gabriella and Chopping Spuds collided in the back straight checking Chopping Spuds. Tee Tee checked off Chopping Spuds on the third turn. Chopping Spuds and Sharp Spur collided on the third turn checking Chopping Spuds. Chopping Spuds checked off Tee Tee on the home turn.
Chopping Spuds was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions on the right hock. No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Dingle Bay - the winner of the event.
