Steward's Report
What's Up Skip was quick to begin. Dr. Shreds and Straitline Willy were slow to begin. Straitline Willy and Sweet Spolly collided approaching the first turn. Sneak Preview marred What's Up Skip in the home straight. What's Up Skip and Sneak Preview collided several times approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Sneak Preview was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the rear left webbing, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Martinovic, the trainer of the greyhound Sneak Preview regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Sneak Preview with marring. Mr. Martinovic pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sneak Preview was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
