Claretown Happy was quick to begin. Gunmetal Liam was slow to begin. Mexican Ned checked off Liberty Diamond approaching the first turn checking Mexican Ned, Gunmetal Liam, Avatar Blaze and Claretown Happy. Miss Oreo Mac and Compsognathus raced wide on the home turn. Miss Oreo Mac marred Compsognathus in the home straight. Liberty Diamond marred Miss Oreo Mac in the home straight.
Avatar Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Liberty Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right chest muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr P. Trim, Trainer of Liberty Diamond. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Liberty Diamond with marring. Mr Trim pleaded guilty to the charge, Liberty Diamond was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton Track and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Miss Oreo Mac was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr C. Blake, Representative of Miss Oreo Mac. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Miss Oreo Mac with marring. Mr Blake pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Oreo Mac was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton Track and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
