Tinaca De Kahn was slow to begin. Indira's Girl checked off Why Not Loz soon after the start. Dewana Interest and Penny Black collided approaching the first turn. I've Got Bills checked off Why Not Loz on the first turn. Penny Black, I've Got Bills and Voluptuous Blue collided on the first turn, severely checking I've Got Bills and Voluptuous Blue. Tinaca De Kahn galloped on the heels of Voluptuous Blue approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds; Miss Crazy raced wide as a result. Penny Black and Why Not Loz collided on the home turn. I've Got Bills, Indira's Girl and Miss Crazy collided entering the home straight, checking I've Got Bills and Indira's Girl.
Voluptuous Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg toe and spike wound injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
