Stewards spoke to Mr C Redenbach, the trainer of Awesome Cruising, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Awesome Cruising last raced at Healesville on 2 February 2018.  Mr Redenbach stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels.

Lil' Miss Willow was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Madonya and Magical Diamond collided soon after the start.  Awesome Cruising and Georgie Porgi collided approaching the first turn checking Awesome Cruising.  Tiara Jo, Madonya and Georgie Porgi collided on the first turn checking Madonya and Georgie Porgi.  Lil' Miss Willow checked off Awesome Cruising on the home turn checking Lil' Miss Willow, Georgie Porgi and Miss Springer.  Lil' Miss Willow raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Theodotou, the trainer of Jimbo's Sox, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Jimbo's Sox last raced at Geelong on 10 April 2018.  Mr Theodotou stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left wrist injury.  Mr Theodotou also redeclared a new weight of 32.8 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Jimbo's Sox last raced at a weight of 31.1 kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mema Wibble. 

Wai Lin was quick to begin.  Communique, Meme Wibble, Cruisy's Star and Jimbo's Sox were slow to begin.

Mt. View Gift, Communique and Cruisy's Star collided approaching the first turn checking Communique.  Riverdale Danger galloped on Wai Lin on the first turn checking Wai Lin.  Jimbo's Sox and Wai Lin collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Cruisy's Star checked off Riverdale Danger on the home turn checking Cruisy's Star, Jimbo's Sox and Wai Lin.  Cruisy's Star and Wai Lin collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Jimbo's Sox and Communique collided in the home straight.  Well Armed, Communique, Mema Wibble and Cruisy's Star raced wide in the home straight.

Sudoku Buddah and Dyna Gunner collided soon after the start checking Dyna Gunner.  Dyna Gunner and Sudoku Buddah collided approaching the first turn checking Sudoku Buddah.  Johnny Dunbar checked off Notorious King on the first turn.  

Dyna Cassie, Discovered and Shadow Walker were quick to begin.

Lektra Rival checked off Dyna Cassie on the first turn.  Discovered and Shadow Walker collided on the first turn checking Discovered, Slipaway Bolt, Brazen Bull and Regal Memphis.  Shadow Walker and Lektra Rival collided approaching the home turn checking Shadow Walker.  Discovered checked off Regal Memphis approaching the home turn checking Discovered and Slipaway Bolt.  Lektra Rival, Regal Memphis and Slipaway Bolt raced wide in the home straight.  

Dyna Cassie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound had a seizure, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms T Harris, the representative of Dyna Cassie and advised her that acting in accordance with GAR 74, Stewards directed that Dyna Cassie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to a power issue with the lure.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dashing Dino.

Zebo Bale and Middle Trucker collided soon after the start checking Middle Trucker.  Dashing Dino and Jacey Allen collided soon after the start.  Rellim Diesel, Fabulous Gee, Jacey Allen and Dashing Dino collided approaching the first turn checking Fabulous Gee and Jacey Allen.  Nambrok Agent raced wide on the first turn.  Middle Trucker checked off Zebo Bale on the first turn.  Dashing Dino checked off Rellim Diesel on the second turn.  Rellim Diesel checked off Middle Trucker entering the back straight.  Nambrok Agent faltered on the third turn.  

Nambrok Agent was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right metatarsal fracture, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Jumbo Bale, Dyna Diedre, Blackpool Blast and Reatily Shintaro collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds.  Rapid Rock checked off Cruisy's Lil on the first turn checking Dyna Nancy.  Dyna Nancy and Reatily Shintaro collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Diedre checked of Rapid Rock approaching the home turn.  Reatily Shintaro checked off Dyna Nancy on the home turn.  

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute due to the squeaker being replaced on the lure.

Diego Fernando was slow to begin.

Diego Fernando and Pandora's Proof bumped approaching the first turn on two occasions checking both greyhounds.  Spritely Brew and Arnie Allen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Spritely Brew.  Dorset Dasha and Dyna Bella collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Dyna Bella.  Spritely Brew contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.

Spritely Brew was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and left chest injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Daza was quick to begin.  Game Spirit, Mr. Bad Example, Mr. No Worries and Fiery Universe were slow to begin.

Mr. Bad Example and Game Spirit collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Possibly and Mr. No Worries collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Mr. Bad Example and Inter Elesha collided on the home turn.  Game Spirit raced wide on the home turn.

Blackpool Tipsy was quick to begin.  Mia Maestro went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  First Responder, Mini Fernando and Red King Prince were slow to begin.

First Responder and Mini Fernando collided approaching the first turn checking Mini Fernando.  No Sugar and Our Star collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  No Sugar and Our Star collided on the first turn checking No Sugar.  Red King Prince checked off First Responder entering the home straight.

Pharoah's Dream was quick to begin.

One Smarty checked off Destini Radar approaching the first turn.  Pharoah's Dream and Venus Allen collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  One Smarty and Timeless Rose collided on the first turn checking One Smarty.  Chase The Nugget and Miss Camelot collided approaching the home turn checking Chase The Nugget.  Pharoah's Dream, One Smarty and Merl's Blaze raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Topaz Warrior and Swoop And Peck were slow to begin.

Miss Kirteish, Severus Grange, Lucky Paws and Merl's Angel collided soon after the start checking Lucky Paws, Severus Grange and Miss Kirteish.  Lucky Paws and Severus Grange collided on the first turn checking Lucky Paws.  Miss Kirteish and Topaz Warrior collided on the first turn checking Miss Kirteish.  Merl's Angel and Topaz Warrior collided approaching the home turn checking Topaz Warrior.  Lucky Paws galloped on Miss Kirteish approaching the home turn.  Severus Grange checked off Took My Money on the home turn checking Severus Grange and Topaz Warrior.

Make It Happen and Belena Bold collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Belena Bold on both occasions.  Fabulous Show checked off Blue Afro approaching the first turn.  Hannibal Spectre, Lancome Lady, Fabulous Show and Make It Happen collided on the first turn checking Make It Happen.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Cramp) - Sariah Allen trialled over the 400mtrs from Box 1, weight 27.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 3/4 lengths. Sariah Allen was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Monkey Mite trialled over the 400mtrs from Box 3, weight 26.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 1/4 lengths. Monkey Mite was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial (Returning from retirement) - Lochinvar Dash last raced on 15 December 2017. Lochinvar Dash trialled over the 400mtrs from box 5, weight 28.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 3/4 lengths. Lochinvar Dash was Cleared.
