Violet Blue, Shep and Reality Shintaro collided soon after the start. Missy Marlus, Schusta, Violet Blue and Lireva collided approaching the first turn, checking Violet Blue. Shep, Reality Shintaro and Cosmic Spur collided approaching the first turn, checking Reality Shintaro. Missy Marlus and Violet Blue collided on the first turn, checking Missy Marlus. Reality Shintaro and Lireva collided approaching the home turn. Violet Blue and Lireva collided entering the home straight. Eily West and Cosmic Spur collided in the home straight. Eily West and Schusta collided approaching the winning post.

MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Desert Oasis regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Desert Oasis last raced on 23rd November, 2017. Mr. Stefanos stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Desert Oasis trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 29.2kgkgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.25 Lengths. Desert Oasis was cleared.
Desert Oasis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Clark, the trainer of Tunisian regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Tunisian last raced on 23rd November, 2017. Mr. Clark stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a quad injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Tunisian trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 35.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.04 , the greyhound won by a margin of 8.75 Lengths. Tunisian was cleared.
