The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1.5mins due to delays in the kennelling area.

Rumbling Home was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to the right hind toes and a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Oaklands was a late scratching at 2.04pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration fo fhe left paw pad.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Desert Oasis regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Desert Oasis last raced on 23rd November, 2017.  Mr. Stefanos stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Desert Oasis trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight  29.2kgkgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.25 Lengths. Desert Oasis was cleared.

Desert Oasis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Clark, the trainer of Tunisian regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Tunisian last raced on 23rd November, 2017.  Mr. Clark stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a quad injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Tunisian trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 35.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.04 , the greyhound won by a margin of 8.75 Lengths. Tunisian was cleared.
