The start of this event was re-scheduled to 9.05pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Cee Jay Ace.
Alfie's Affair was slow to begin. Tegxcellent faltered soon after the start and subsequently pulled up. Cee jay Ace, Alfie's Affair, Thumb A Ride and Joraddi collided soon after the start. Alfie's Affair, Dr. Cadenza and Hello Nimble collided on the first turn. Alfie's Affair raced wide from approaching the home turn to the home turn. Alfie's Affair, Joraddi and Hello Nimble raced wide in the home straight.
Tegxcellent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Romagnino regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Hello Nimble. Stewards directed that Hello Nimble be boxed first in future events.
