Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Whyte the trainer of Crocodile Senor regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crocodile Senor last raced on 20/02/18. Mr Whyte stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to both hips. Mr. Whyte declared a new weight of 34.3kg for the greyhound in accordance to GAR 39(2). Crocodile Senor last raced at 36.3kg.
The start of this event was re-scheduled to 10.48pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Weeona Jimmy.
Oamaru Wonder was slow to begin. Sir Richard stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Juno Away was checked off Checker Plate approaching the first turn. Sooky Jooky crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Velocity Whisper. Velocity Whisper was checked off Crocodile Senor approaching the home turn. Sir Richard was checked off Juno Away approaching the home turn checking Juno Away. Sooky Jooky raced wide in the home straight. Juno Away and Oamaru Wonder collided entering the home straight checking Juno Away.
Meeting Comments:
Mr.B.Scott, trainer of Beljay Galaxy had the greyhound revetted after the close of kennelling. It was reported that the greyhound was sore in the left and right monkey muscle. The 21 day stand down remained in place.
