Pursuant to GAR 104 (6), Mr. S Courts did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Ryben Jack.
Buckle Up Scotch and Ryben Jack were slow to begin. Buckle Up Scotch and Predemonic collided on the first turn, checking Predemonic. Ryben Jack checked off Luna Evening on the first turn, checking Ryben Jack, which raced wide as a result. Shevchenko failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn, and again in the home straight, checking Kouta And Cream.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Kate Gorman, the trainer of the greyhound Shevchenko regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and again in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Shevchenko with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Shevchenko was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
