Nellie Shan crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Lucas The Great, Quavo and Fortnight. Quavo checked off Lucas The Great approaching the second turn. Fortnight faltered approaching the second turn and tailed off. Quavo checked off Lucas The Great in the home straight.
Fortnight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and left monkey muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
