Steward's Report
Lady Bombshell – New declared weight of 25.4kg, last raced at 23.7kg.
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Better Off.
Lady Bombshell was quick to begin. Better Off was slow to begin.
Hero Blues raced wide turning into the back straight.
Hero Blues (overall performance) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Lachlan Scott regarding the racing manners of Hero Blues from turning into the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Scott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Lady Calamity (marred Lady Rosalyn in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Sheldon Hamilton regarding Lady Calamity’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Lady Calamity was charged with marring. Mr. Hamilton pleaded not guilty to the charge. Lady Calamity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Dark Miracle – the winner of the event.
