The inside track was lightly harrowed on Wednesday June 20.

Kissable and Transonic Miss were slow to begin. Transonic Miss checked off Kissable on the first turn. Red King Prince and Blackpool Remi collided approaching the home turn. Kissable and Happy Cruising collided several times approaching the home turn. Happy Cruising checked off Kissable on the home turn. Just Talking and Our Star raced wide in the home straight. 

Transonic Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle and both groins, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A sample was taken from Red King Prince - the winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Rythym Taboo.

Ohio Fernando was slow to begin. Mayhem Magic blundered at the start and lost ground. First Responder checked off Proven Mystery soon after the start. Mayhem Magic galloped on the heels of Emma's Sparrow on the first turn, checking Emma's Sparrow and She's Enough. Emma's Sparrow checked off She's Enough approaching the home turn. Fawn Eruptor checked off Mayhem Magic approaching the home turn. Proven Mystery checked off Rythym Taboo on the home turn. Fawn Eruptor, Mayhem Magic and Proven Mystery collided entering the home straight. 

Why Not Lola was a late scratching at 9:08 due to injury - split webbing  (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding the late withdrawal of Why Not Lola from this event. Trainer Mr G. Carter stated that the greyhound was examined prior to official scratching time, and at that time was in his opinion, fit to compete. He added that when he retrived the greyhound from the day yard it was found to have injured its webbing, and for this reason Why Not Lola was a late scratching at 9:08. Stewards accepted the explanation and took no further action.

Mr P. Tanti, trainer of Dazzling Liesel declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dazzling Liesel last raced at 28.7kg.

Magnus Keroma, My Hardaway Hana and Blue Berty collided on the first turn, checking My Hardaway Hana. Magnus Keroma checked off Beanie Allen on the first turn. Beanie Allen and Magnus Keroma raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre race sample was taken from Cruising Betty.

Xinnia Allen checked off Galina Reznikov soon after the start. Hot Cruiser checked off Cruising Betty on the first turn. Kauai and Galina Reznikov collided in the home straight. Giant Jarvis and Cruising Betty collided approaching the winning post, checking Cruising Betty. 

Stewards spoke to M. Tabb, the trainer of Blackpool Shaz regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Blackpool Shaz last raced on 3rd May 2018. Mr Tabb stated that  the greyhound was resuming from an achillies injury.

Rusty The Jett, Liebig Street and Kiss Me Marday collided soon after the start, checking Liebig Street. Liebig Street checked off It's Magic on the first turn. Blackpool Shaz, Gin Lee's Bullet and Arma Rapida collided on the first turn, checking Arma Rapida. It's Magic checked off Arma Rapida approaching the home turn. Liebig Street and It's Magic collided approaching the home turn, checking Liebig Street. 

Liebig Street was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and both groins, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Varuchi Pass was slow to begin. Full Tilt and Inside Game collided on the first turn, checking Soft Sand, Bumble Bee Bolto, Varuchi Pass and Inside Game, and severely checking Full Tilt. Cruisy's Rose raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre race sample was taken from Last Outlaw.

Kouta Excuses and Penny Pop were quick to begin. Last Outlaw was slow to begin. Teflon Toby checked off Kouta Mayhem approaching the first turn. Kouta Gold and Kouta Mayhem collided on the first turn, checking Kouta Mayhem. Kouta Gold and Penny Pop collided in the home straight. Kouta Excuses and Kouta Mayhem collided in the home straight.

Kouta Excuses was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right radius, and was humanely euthanased.

Alezan checked off Mepunga Laser soon after the start. Mepunga Laser, Hit The Highway and Atomic Kitten collided approaching the first turn, checking Hit The Highway. Atomic Kitten galloped on the heels of Rockin' Joe on the first turn, causing Hit The Highway, Atomic Kitten and Rockin' Joe to race wide.

A sample was taken from Hit The Highway - unplaced in the event. 

Daytona Fernando and Mini Fernando collided approaching the first turn, checking Mini Fernando. Cruising Stella and Little Snitzel collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Blackpool Ivy shifted in on the first turn, checking Mickie Raven and Daytona Fernando. Mickie Raven and Mini Fernando collided on the home turn, checking Mickie Raven.

Cruising Stella was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Uprising was a late scratching at 17:28 due to non arrival (GAR 31). Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer Mr P. Presutto of the non-arrival due to a comfirmed accident on the West Gate Bridge. 

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Delbridge, the trainer of Go Shirly Go regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Go Shirly Go last raced on 16th February 2018. Mr Delbridge stated that  the greyhound was resuming due to a change of kennel.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Uprising engaged in this event on 20th June 2018, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Taabi and Dallas Fernando collided on the first turn, checking Dallas Fernando. Darren Allen and One Smarty raced wide on the home turn, and again in the home straight.

Noonbarra Storm and Real Obsession collided in the home straight. Clouded Acorn galloped on the heels of Why Not Dom in the home straight, checking Why Not Dom.
