Wings For Woody and Turbo Tom collided approaching the first turn. Doran's Call, Vanda Mick and Hammer Head collided on the first turn chedcking Vanda Mick and Hammer Head. Pomp Fiction, Wings For Woody and Turbo Tom collided on the first turn severely checking Wings For Woody which fell and severely checking Hammer Head as a result. Pomp Fiction, Destini Pegasus and Turbo Tom collided approaching the home turn checking Destini Pegasus and severely checking Turbo Tom. Hammer Head raced wide on the home turn.
Wings For Woody was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the neck, both groin muscles and bruising to the left hind metatarsals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
