Stewards spoke to Mr M.Pell, the trainer of Jolimia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jolimia last raced on 18 October, 2017. Mr Pell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell.

Daintree Brave was a late scratching at 5:58pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to the right hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tribe, Papa Duncs, Pharoah's Dream and Jolimia collided soon after the start.  Bushman's Bill and Lektra Diamond collided approaching the first turn.  Pharoah's Dream and Jolimia collided approaching the first turn checking Jolimia.  Pharoah's Dream and Jolimia collided approaching the first turn checking Jolimia.  Pharoah's Dream raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Ms E.Bowles trainer of Over The Horizon declared a new weight of 32.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Over The Horizon last raced at 34.1kg.

Macs Model was quick to begin.  Daintree Prinz was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Bud Husky, You Bandit, Greysynd Sofi and Over The Horizon collided approaching the first turn checking You Bandit and Greysynd Sofi. Premier Back was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion on the left wrist and rear hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr B. Merton who stated that the greyhound will no longer be running over 600m distance and that the greyhound performs better over the 500m distance.  Stewards noted Mr Merton's explanation and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Equilibrium was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a moderate abrasion to the left stopper pad, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr P. Dapiran, and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's  racing manners in the back straight.

Tolerance was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion on the right stopper pad, no stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr R. Chivell declined a revet, therefore acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Tolerance with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Chivell pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Right Now was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
