Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr J Mc Donald, kennel representative for Destini Riptide, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Destini Riptide last raced on 8 September 2017. Mr McDonald stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from an injury to its right fore.
Mr Alan McDonald, trainer of Destini Riptide, declared a new weight of 35.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Destini Riptide last raced at 36.3kg.
Mr Callum Blake, kennel representative for Rosso, declared a new weight of 35.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rosso last raced at 32.4kg.
Snap Loch, Rosso and Destini Riptide were slow to begin.
Predemonic, Parvati Grange, Crackerjack Jim and Rosso collided approaching the first turn, checking Crackerjack Jim which fell, in turn checking Took My Money and Destini Riptide; Took My Money lost ground and Destini Riptide fell as a result.
Crackerjack Jim was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right front toe. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
