Kennels closed late due to a participant experiencing traffic issues.

This meeting is deemed hot weather affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was degrees 29.6 and the kennel temperature was 19.5 degrees.

Destini Pegasus was quick to begin.

Moonbeam and Subconscious collided soon after the start checking Moonbeam. Full Loop and Klondike Gold collided approaching the first turn severely checking Klondike Gold in turn, checking Ronray Legend, Serendipity Gem and Subconscious as a result. Full Loop and George Regis collided in the home straight. Destini Pegasus and George Regis collided approaching the winning post.

Scarlet Blu Boy was slow to begin.

Panda Rebel, Rocketness, Kruzin' Cripps, Larrikan Bozzie and All Inn Hunter collided on the first turn checking Panda Rebel, Kruzin' Cripps, Larrikan Bozzie and All Inn Hunter

All Inn Hunter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered mild cramping. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Abela, the trainer of Zombora Krystal regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zombora Krystal last raced on 27th July 2017. Mr. Abela stated that the greyhound has had a change of kennels. Mr. Abela also declared a new weight of 26.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zambora Krystal last raced at 25.6kg.

Glen Mika was slow to begin.

Riverina Miss and Reality Thunder collided soon after the start. Barb Allen, Arizona and Zambora Krystal collided soon after the start checking Barb Allen and severely checking Arizona. Glen Mika checked off Reality Thunder on the first turn severely checking Barb Allen. Riverina Miss and Manzeene Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Riverina Miss and Zambora Krystal. Arizona raced wide on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Lanigan, the trainer of Zipping Quinsee regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Quinsee last raced on 9th June 2017. Mr. Lanigan stated that the greyhound was returning from 2 broken hind toes.

The outside temperature at the start of this race was 26.8 degrees and the hot weather requirements were no longer invoked.

Magic Innings and Ha Ha Gotcha collided on the first turn checking Ha Ha Gotcha. Just Banji and Zipping Quinsee collided approaching the home turn checking Just Banji. Joffa's Oldboy and Rapid Mission collided approaching the home turn checking Joffa's Oldboy. Magic Innings and Rapid mission collided several times on the home turn.

Mint Boy and Rocky Ravioli collided soon after the start.

Wings For Woody and Louie Lasagna collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Louie Lasagna, Wings For Woody, Rocky Ravioli and Mint Boy collided on the first turn checking Wings For Woody and Mint Boy and severely checking Rocky Ravioli. Mint Boy checked off Louie Lasagna approaching the home turn.

Spyfection and Crackerjack Choc collided on the first turn checking Spyfection. Maximum Babe, Argyle Lucifer and Fancy Hope collided on the first turn. Crackerjack Choc faltered on the second turn. Joffa's Old Girl and Fancy Hope collided on the second turn. Maximum Babe checked off Fancy Hope approaching the home turn.

Thanks Cheryl and Ronray Destini collided approaching the home turn. Snow Osti and Aston Viva collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Viva. Thanks Cheryl and Queen Coriander collided on the home turn checking Queen Coriander. Queen Coriander and Piccolo Panther collided entering the home straight. Aston Viva checked off Queen Coriander in the home straight.

Crook Me Kindly was slow to begin.

Call Me Swift checked off Quick Session soon after the start. Zipping Inglis and Penny Worth collided soon after the start. Zipping Inglis and Midnight Kebab collided approaching the first turn. Call Me Swift and Desert Oasis collided approaching the first turn checking Call Me Swift. Crook Me Kindly checked off Quick Session on the first turn checking Crook Me Kindly. Desert Oasis checked off Crook Me Kindly approaching the home turn.

Last Princess was very slow to begin (2L).

Our Flying Laura and Sammy Frost collided approaching the first turn. Last Princess checked off Rosie Sprite approaching the first turn. Quen Bale eased approaching the first turn. Our Flying Laura and Last Princess collided approaching the home turn. Rosie Sprite and Quen Bale collided heavily several times on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Courts, the handler of the greyhound Quen Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Quen Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Quen Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Courts pleaded guilty to the charge, Quen Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cosmic Coaster was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Jake and Honestly Bob collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Jake. Iron Anda, Destini Seahorse and Scanez Jewel collided entering the back straight checking Iron Anda. Winey Bago and Scanez Jewel collided approaching the second turn checking Winey Bago. Winey Bago raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Skibbo.

Manzeene Man stumbled at box rise and lost considerable ground. All Inn Tana and Kodason collided soon after the start and from that point on, All Inn Tana  lost ground and became tail off. Turbo Tom and Skibbo collided several times approaching the home turn checking Skibbo. Skibbo and My Mate Wally collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. 

All Inn Tana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the back muscle. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Destini Trucker, Cosmic Act, Hillbilly Bubba and Don's Machine collided on the first turn checking Destini Trucker, Cosmic Act and Hillbilly Bubba.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Latifi Zeus trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.17, the greyhound won by a margin of 3L. Latifi Zeus was cleared.
