A pre-race sample was taken from Macreadie. 

Miss Springer was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Stealthy Flight and Boydy collided approaching the first turn. Miss Springer raced wide on the home turn. Miss Springer galloped on the heels of Sweet Shiraz on the home turn.

Hope and Ebonique collided soon after the start, checking Ivey's Affair and Hope. Ivey's Affair galloped on the heels of Ebonique approaching the first turn. Andy's Gem checked off Ebonique approaching the home turn, checking Joanie's Johnny. Ivey's Affair raced wide in the home straight. 

La Tiana was quick to begin. Sunlit Johnny checked off Time To Strike soon after the start. Time To Strike contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Alfie's Affair and La Tiana collided on the first turn.

Time To Strike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Yelredda Saint was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Yelredda Saint galloped on the heels of Greg's Prince on the first turn. 

Stewards established that Jordan Star turned in the boxes and took no competative part in the event.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Jordan Star was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Jordan Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Crucial Conflict was quick to begin. Proving Ground, Crystal Shell and Acer collided soon after the start. Proving Ground checked off Crystal Shell approaching the first turn. Jen's Magic and Crystal Shell collided on the first turn. Proving Ground and Acer collided on the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Schoreders, handler of Crystal Shell, regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound. Mrs. Schroders stated that she doesn't box many greyhounds and that the greyhound backed out when she was trying to close the box. Stewards noted her explanation and placed a warning on the greyhound.  

Darb's The Man was quick to begin. Darb's The Man and Fruit Frames collided soon after the start. Darb's The Man galloped on the heels of Kimani on the first turn, checking Darb's The Man and Unique Spirit; Unique Spirit raced wide as a result. Darb's The Man checked off Unique Spirit on the home turn. Dark Stealth and Darb's The Man collided approaching the winning post.

Sports Knight was slow to begin. Rockalot and Lola Allen collided soon after the start. Rockalot and Lola Allen collided on the first turn. Sports Knight checked off Rockalot on the first turn, checking Sports Knight and Lola Allen. Blanford Babe and Rockalot collided on the home turn. 

Mini Dozer was a late scratching at 4:22PM due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Minnesota Lee was quick to begin. Main One checked off Lamington Lass on the first turn.
