Steward's Report
Our Miss Deena and Le Doyen was quick to begin. Emilia Mel was slow to begin. Our Charlie Rose, Scott Cosmic, Milla Rose and Flywheel Strike collided on the first turn checking Flywheel Strike and severely checking Scott Cosmic. Meehan Deano was checked off Le Doyen in the back straight checking Our Charlie Rose and Milla Rose. Flywheel Strike and Milla Rose collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Our Charlie Rose and Le Doyen collided several times entering the home straight.
Scott Cosmic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured rght triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Our Charlie Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Chignell the trainer of Our Charlie Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After viewing the head on video footage and taking into consideration the injury Stewards took no further action.
