Track Curator Mr B. Skurrie advised stewards that the track was deeply harrowed, top dressed and graded on 25 June 2018.

Rowchester Miss, Lena Lake and Mepunga Debbie were slow to begin.

Lena Lake and Mepunga Debbie collided soon after the start checking Lena Lake.  Rowchester Miss and Bont's Magic collided on the first turn.  Lena Lake raced wide entering the front straight checking Mepunga Debbie.  Shiny Bright, Bont's Magic and Rowchester Miss collided on the second turn checking Bont's Magic and Lena Lake.  Rowchester Miss and Shiny Bright collided entering the back straight.  Rowchester Miss checked off Hazelwood Flyer entering the home straight.  Hazelwood Flyer checked off Spring Bomber in the home straight.

Shockwave crossed in soon after the start and collided with Two Bills, Mepunga Bella and Junior Wizard.  Shockwave checked off Johnny Wishbone on the first turn.  Undisputed and Junior Wizard collided on the first turn.  Two Bills and Fat Rhino collided on the first turn checking Fat Rhino.  Beanbag and Johnny Wishbone collided approaching the second turn checking Beanbag.  Junior Wizard checked off Beanbag approaching the second turn.  Undisputed, Johnny Wishbone and Shockwave collided on the third turn checking Johnny Wishbone and Junior Wizard.

Especial Shiraz and Dutch Legacy were quick to begin.  Carltonian and Good Luck Mark were slow to begin.

Kinloch Moss, Reality Hawk and Neo Cleo were quick to begin.

Azkaban and Reality Hawk collided soon after the start.  Kinloch Moss and Reality Hawk collided on the first turn.  Night Theory and Shayna Powers collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Azkaban, Jacqui Shoshone and Night Theory collided entering the back straight checking Jacqui Shoshone, Night Theory and Dyna Hadria.  Dyna Hadria checked off Shayna Powers entering the home straight.

Night Theory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.
