Steward's Report
Barellen Silk was quick to begin. Cruising Elm and Nana's Rebel were slow to begin.
Cruising Elm (turned it's head inwards on the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mrs. J. Hall declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Hall regarding Cruising Elm’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Cruising Elm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Hall pleaded guilty to the charge. Cruising Elm is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
