Track Curator, Mr Robert Hamilton advised Stewards that the track was graded and harrowed on Wednesday, 20 June 2018.
Iceni Sailor and Nelso Allen were slow to begin. Nelso Allen and Brin Bandit collided soon after the start, checking Nelso Allen. Thomeli Steel and Miss Dangerwood collided approaching the first turn, checking Thomeli Steel. Brin Bandit, Nelso Allen and Thomeli Steel collided on the first turn, checking Nelso Allen and Thomeli Steel. American Brat and Pyrenees Blaze collided on the first turn, checking American Brat. Thomeli Steel and Nelso Allen collided entering the home straight, checking Nelso Allen. Nelso Allen tired in the home straight.
Nelso Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wound left hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.
