Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Thorneycroft the trainer of Shy Freddie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shy Freddie last raced on 07/02/18. Mr. Thorneycroft stated the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured right back muscle.
A pre-race sample was taken from Shy Freddie.
Shy Freddie and Knew It were slow to begin. Supa Shalala was checked off Dyna Winter approaching the first turn. Woodleigh Blaze and Knew It collided in the home straight checking Krypto Jam. Supa Shalala marred Shy Freddie in the home straight checking Shy Freddie.
Supa Shalala was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Kelly the trainer of the greyhound Supa Shalala regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Supa Shalala with marring. Mr. Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charge, Supa Shalala was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant ot GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
