A pre-race sample was taken from George's Fever.
Sweet Bourbski and Awesome Catch were quick to begin. George's Fever was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Run The Route and Beckham collided soon after the start. Sweet Bourbski and Awesome Catch collided soon after the start. Plummy's Girl and Sedaka collided soon after the start checking Plummy's Girl. Run The Route raced wide and lost ground on the second turn. Sedaka and Beckham collided entering the home straight.
Run The Route was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Nick Lecchino the representative regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound George's Fever. Stewards directed that George's Fever be boxed first in future events.
