Steward's Report
Out of Competition Samples were taken from Rainbow Parade and Mavro Mike engaged in this event on 12 June 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Double The Power.
Zippy Terrah and Stealthy Flight were quick to begin. Mavro Mike was slow to begin.
Zippy Terrah, Piparae and Got Some Zip collided approaching the first turn. Double The Power raced wide on the first turn. Piparae checked off Got Some Zip on the first turn. Mavro Mike and Double The Power collided on the home turn checking Mavro Mike and severely checking Double The Power which fell. Zippy Terrah and Piparae collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Mavro Mike raced in the home straight.
Double The Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mavro Mike was vetted and re-vetted following event 6. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr Steve Kaltsis , the representative of the greyhound Mavro Mike. Stewards deemed the performance of Mavro Mike unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Mavro Mike must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
