An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Eye Owe You engaged in this event on 12 June 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Dark Stealth was a late scratching at 11:41am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Ian Anderson was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Casper's Fantasy.

Terrah Fire was very slow to begin (6 lengths).

Badenov, Casper's Fantasy, Eye Owe You and Pilot Pete collided soon after the start checking Casper's Fantasy which stumbled as a result.  

Out of Competition Samples were taken from Rainbow Parade and Mavro Mike engaged in this event on 12 June 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Double The Power.

Zippy Terrah and Stealthy Flight were quick to begin.  Mavro Mike was slow to begin.

Zippy Terrah, Piparae and Got Some Zip collided approaching the first turn.  Double The Power raced wide on the first turn.  Piparae checked off Got Some Zip on the first turn.  Mavro Mike and Double The Power collided on the home turn checking Mavro Mike and severely checking Double The Power which fell.  Zippy Terrah and Piparae collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Mavro Mike raced in the home straight.

Double The Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mavro Mike was vetted and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr Steve Kaltsis , the representative of the greyhound Mavro Mike. Stewards deemed the performance of Mavro Mike unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Mavro Mike must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Richard Hill, the trainer of Dynamic Deano regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dynamic Deano last raced on 7 March 18 and is returning from a left back muscle injury.

Oh Nikita, Why Not Macca and Dr. Marshmellow were slow to begin.

Dr. Sparkles, Pinky Tuscadero and Dynamic Deano collided soon after the start.  Dr. Sparkles and Oh Nikita collided on the first turn.  Pinky Tuscadero and Why Not Macca collided approaching the home turn.  Oh Nikita raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from She's Our Poppy.

Acquire and Nimble Lucy were quick to begin.

Brandeen Fi and Trapezius collided soon after the start.  Trapezius galloped on She's Our Poppy approaching the first turn.  She's Our Poppy faltered on the first turn and tailed off.  Acquire and Nimble Lucy collided several times in the home straight.

She's Our Poppy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.  

Dr. Watson was slow to begin.

He's Ma Bro, Dr. Condor and Ha Ha Gotcha collided approaching the first turn checking He's Ma Bro and Dr. Condor.  Row Tay Tom and Aruma Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Row Tay Tom checked off Aruma Girl on the first turn.  He's Ma Bro checked off Row Tay Tom approaching the home turn.  

Dr. Condor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Galaxy Star, Zoobie, Special Member and Hello Nimble were slow to begin.

Zoobie and Special Member collided soon after the start.  Special Member and Hello Nimble collided on the first turn.  Ruby's Cheekstar and Special Member collided on the home turn checking Special Member.  Zoobie checked off Hello Nimble on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Temujin - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Mary Lieshout and issued a warning for her failure to catch the greyhound Galaxy Star in this event. GAR (48).

Modern Jagger, Dr. Noely and Tarquin Bob were slow to begin.

Modern Jagger and Dr. Noely collided approaching the first turn.  Harvey Warbanger and Miriam collided on the first turn.  Modern Jagger checked off Miriam on the first turn.  Betwixt and Architecture collided approaching the home turn.  Kelly's Star and Betwixt collided approaching the home turn.  Betwixt and Tarquin Bob collided approaching the winning post.

Ebb was a late scratching at 11:57am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ballistic Gem.

Ballistic Gem was slow to begin.

Ballistic Gem checked off Double Black soon after the start.  Prince Stealth and Tiger Cabang collided approaching the first turn.  Double Black and It's Debatable collided approaching the winning post.

Sidevalve was slow to begin.

Dr. Annie checked off Silvagni Cubed approaching the first turn.  Silvagni Cubed, Miss Kirteish, Speedway Lass and Why Not Dom collided approaching the first turn checking Speedway Lass, Silvagni Cubed and Sidevalve, Dr. Annie fell as a result.  Sidevalve checked off Speedway Lass approaching the home turn.  Sidevalve and Speedway Lass collided on the home turn.  Lady Alliance and Mandela Sun collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Dr. Annie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparant.

Summer Kate and Dr. Paulina collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Gnocchi checked off On The Rebound on the first turn.  On The Rebound and Lektra Miss collided on the first turn checking On The Rebound.  Lektra Miss and Galloping Ashley collided on the first turn checking Galloping Ashley.  Gnocchi and Lektra Miss collided approaching the home turn.  Galloping Ashley and Dr. Paulina collided entering the home straight.  Gnocchi, Summer Kate and Dr. Paulina raced wide in the home straight.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Happy Allen trialled over the 400mtrs from box 2, weight 25.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.32, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths. Happy Allen was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs Margaret Campbell, the trainer of Gypsy Marlow regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Gypsy Marlow last raced on 20 November 2017 and is returning from a left front sesamoid and metatarsal injuries. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Gypsy Marlow trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 25.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.32, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 1/4 lengths. Gypsy Marlow was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Sciortino, the trainer of Miss Hot Rocks regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Hot Rocks last raced on 29 November 2017 and is returning from seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Miss Hot Rocks trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 27.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.32, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 lengths. Miss Hot Rocks was Cleared.
