Spring Ace was a late scratching at 16.10pm on Sunday 10 June 2018 due to a right calf injury.(GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mr Peter Grills, trainer of Dazzling Melody, declared a new weight of 27.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dazzling Melody last raced at 28.7kg.

Cataleya was slow to begin.

Ido Voodoo and Two Mississippi collided soon after the start, checking Ido Voodoo. Cataleya and Jesterday collided on the first turn, checking Cataleya. Suspicious Lee, Cataleya and Two Mississippi collided approaching the home turn, checking Suspicious Lee. Cataleya and Two Mississippi collided on the home turn, checking Two Mississippi.

Two Mississippi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wise Stella trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 26.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.56, the greyhound won by a margin of 4L. Wise Stella was not cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Jacobite Joseph trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 32.7kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.56, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8L. Jacobite Joseph was cleared.
