July Allen and Etiquette crossed to the rails soon after the start, causing Crickets Dash, Bont's Magic and Cosmic Act to collide. Crickets Dash checked off Cosmic Act approaching the first turn. Thumb A Ride and Cosmic Act collided on the first turn, checking Thumb A Ride which lost ground and collided with Fonty Allen. Crickets Dash and Bont's Magic collided on the first turn.

Takaho Tiger was a late scratching at 6:17pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the Parade Steward Ms J Earl and reminded her of her requirement to have the greyhounds at the start one minute prior to the official start time, after this race was delayed by a minute and a half, Stewards advised the club manager of this incident.

Miss Dee Meadows was a late scratching at 2:59pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Khaleesi Girl was quick to begin.
