Georgie Porgi was quick to begin.  Run Mon Manny and Lingua Franca were slow to begin.  Catcha Nugget and Is All collided on the first turn.  Catcha Nugget checked off Georgie Porgi on the first turn checking Is All and Sapphire Power.  It's A Date contacted the running rail on the first turn severely checking It's A Date and Lingua Franca.

It's A Date was vetted following the  event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion on toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Merlin Rose, Piccolo Fratello and Double The Power were slow to begin.  Double Sensation and Piccolo Fratello collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Zippy Zuri and Tuiaki Dora collided approaching the first turn severely checking Merlin Rose.  Zippy Zuri and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Double Sensation and severely checking Zippy Zuri.  Double The Power checked off Zippy Zuri on the first turn.  Merlin Rose and Zippy Zuri collided several times approaching the home turn.  Merlin Rose crossed to the outside and marred Zippy Zuri several times entering the home straight and in the home straight severely checking both greyhounds.

Merlin Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Chignell, the trainer of the greyhound Merlin Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight.   Acting under GAR 69(1)  stewards charged Merlin Rose with marring.  Mrs. Chignell pleaded guilty to the charge, Merlin Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

On The Runway was quick to begin.  Where's Lachie was slow to begin.  Bluegrass Icon, Lakeview Grace and Crossfire Icon collided approaching the first turn checking Lakeview Grace and Crossfire Icon.  Where's Lachie and Potere collided entering the back straight checking Potere.  Lakeview Grace raced wide in the home straight.

Sopha Gem was quick to begin.  Pinky Tuscadero and Lethal Lomar collided approaching the first turn checking Lethal Lomar.  Sopha Gem and Undercover Viv collided on the first turn checking Undercover Viv.  Pinky Tuscadero checked off Sopha Gem approaching the home turn.  Golden Gloves and Undercover Viv collided approaching the home turn checking Undercover Viv.  Golden Gloves crossed to the outside entering the home straight and marred Pinky Tuscadero.  Golden Gloves, Pinky Tuscadero and Doble Estandar collided several times in the home straight.  Golden Gloves marred Pinky Tuscadero approaching the winning post.

Templeton, the trainer of the greyhound Golden Gloves regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Golden Gloves with marring.  Mr. Templeton pleaded guilty to the charge, Golden Gloves was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Marshall was quick to begin.  Black Shirley, Miriam, Empty Chamber and Okay Pumpkin were slow to begin.  Polo Pete and Omega Vera collided on the first turn checking Okay Pumpkin.  Polo Pete and Omega Vera collided approaching the home turn checking Omega Vera.  Empty Chamber checked off Polo Pete entering the home straight.

A sample was taken from Maverick Typhoon - the winner of the event.

Labuan Starfish was a late scratching at 16:20 due to the incorrect greyhound being presented at kennelling.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Eddie Lieshout the trainer  regarding the late scratching of Labuan Starfish in this event and subsequently charged Mr. Lieshout with a breach of GAR 31 (1) in that he failed to present the correct greyhound to stewards at kennelling for this event.  Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge.  When considering a penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr. Lieshout's co-operation and guilty plea with this incident.  Mr. Lieshout was found guilty and issued with a $250 fine.

Bella's Ghost and Riviera Cruz were slow to begin.  Rose Rose, Sisso's Joy and Velocity Whisper collided on the first turn.  Dreamy Julian and Bella's Ghost collided entering the back straight checking Dreamy Julian.  Our Delta Rose and Sisso's Joy collided approaching the home turn.  Sisso's Joy, Dreamy Julian and Riviera Cruz collided in the home straight.

Flash Frankie, Dr. Dedra and Aston Tobin were slow to begin.  Duke Of Burnley, Parumba Taylah, Water Pistol, Libby's Dream and Ebb collided on the first turn checking Duke Of Burnley, Parumba Taylah, Water Pistol and Ebb.  Water Pistol checked off Dr. Dedra on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result.

Alabar and Maderra were quick to begin.  Hundred, Perrie Lulu and Our Mojo were slow to begin.  Trim City, Perrie Lulu and Our Mojo collided on the first turn checking Perrie Lulu, Trim City and Hundred.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide approaching the home turn and in the home straight.
