Steward's Report
Terrah Fire was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Fabredust crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Lighfoot Lass. Mega Mckayla and Harvey Warbanger collided on the first turn. Fabredust and Belron Bliss collided approaching the home turn. Lightfoot Lass and Belron Bliss collided on the home turn. Fabredust and Belron Bliss collided entering the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Greg's Prince raced wide in the home straight.
Mega McKayla was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. W. Dawes, the trainer of Mega McKayla regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
Stewards charged Mr Greg Minne with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Greg's Prince for this event. Mr Minne stated that he had no excuse for his tardiness and he had simply lost track of time. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account that Mr Minne had arrived 10 mins prior to the advertised start time; Mr Minne was subsequently fined the sum of $100.00.
