Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sunset Believer.
Razzle Oak and Tilley's Pie collided soon after the start. Zipping Pedro, Razzle Oak and Veetee Mist collided on the first turn checking Veetee Mist and Razzle Oak. Veetee Mist crossed out on the home turn checking Razzle Oak.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Pursuant to GAR 101(2)(b), Stewards issued a warning to Ms Lina Repici and reminded her that as an unlicensed person, she is not permitted to handle a greyhound on any racecourse.
Stewards reminded kennel attendant, Ms R Bau of her responsibilities to ensure she remains in the kennel block at all times during the meeting to ensure the integrity of the kennels. The matter has been referred on to the appropriate manager.
Satisfactory Trial – Returning from retirement and GAR 69(B)(1) - Excuse Me Baby trialled over the 400mtrs from box 5, weight 30.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4thin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.24, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 203/4 lengths. Excuse Me Baby was Not Cleared and was vetted following the trial, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock injury and a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Thomas, the trainer of Meeniyan Hawk regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Meeniyan Hawk last raced on 6 November 2017 and is returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Meeniyan Hawk trialled over the 400mtrs from box 7, weight 31.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.24, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18 ¾ lengths. Meeniyan Hawk was Not Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Shady Whip trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 31.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.24, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 ½ lengths. Shady Whip was Not Cleared.
