Doorkeeper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right shin soreness and a right groin injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Divers, the trainer of Whalephant regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Whalephant last raced on 3rd January, 2018.  Mr. Divers stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

Scott, the trainer of Scott Muscles regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Scott Muscles last raced on 20th January, 2018.  Mr. Scott stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a hock injury. Mr. Scott also declared a new weight of 37.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Scott Muscle last raced at 38.2kg.

Scott Lucky was quick to begin.

Hot Devil was slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Wilson, the trainer of Kostya Nuffen regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Kostya Nuffen last raced on 26th July 2017. Mr. Wilson stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kostya Nuffen trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 33.7kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.58, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6L. Kostya Nuffen was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kraken Elroy trialled over the 390mt from box 5, weight 30.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.58, the greyhound ?won by a margin of 1.75L. Kraken Elroy was Cleared 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Whybrow, the trainer of Racecourse Road regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Racecourse Road last raced on 8th November, 2017.  Mr. Whybrow stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Racecourse Road trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 28.1kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.58, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.25L. Racecourse Road was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Martin, the trainer of Gunai Nitro regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Gunai Nitro last raced on 12th October 2017. Mr. Martin stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Gunai Nitro trialled over the 450mt from box 1, weight 32.1kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.25 , the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8L. Gunai Nitro was Cleared.
