Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Woodleigh Blaze engaged in this event on 28 May, 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
This race was rescheduled to start at 10:12pm, due to the power failure prior to race three.
A pre race sample was taken from Birkenhead.
Sooky Jooky and Freak Unleashed collided soon after the start. My Alibi and Spritely Malibu collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Birkenhead checked off Pistol approaching the home turn, checking Woodleigh Blaze. Buckle Up Scotch and Freak Unleashed collided approaching the home turn.
Woodleigh Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
My Alibi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Ian Brown, the trainer of My Alibi, regarding his conduct towards licensed trainer Ms. Nicole Lund in the kenneling area. (GAR86(q))
