Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Cruising Solo.
Goodbye Goldie was slow to begin. Cruising Solo checked off Vapouriser on the first turn checking Vapouriser; Cruising Solo lost ground as a result. Cruising Solo raced wide in the home straight. Vapouriser failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Charba Charli several times.
Cruising Solo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Vapouriser was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer, Mr. R. Conway declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Conway, the trainer of the greyhound Vapouriser regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Vapouriser with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Conway pleaded guilty to the charge. Vapouriser was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Dreamliner was vetted followng the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left chest muscle and spike wound to its left front toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
